KeptPDF in ChatGPT

The KeptPDF plugin opens a redaction panel inside ChatGPT. You pick a PDF from your computer, black out words or areas, and save the redacted copy. The file is processed on your computer and is never sent to KeptPDF.

If something is not working

• The panel is slow to open. The first time, it can take up to about 20 seconds.
• Saving does not work. Saving needs a browser with a save dialog: the ChatGPT desktop app, Chrome or Edge. Safari and Firefox cannot save from the panel, so use keptpdf.com there.
• A scanned PDF is slow. Scanned PDFs are read with on-device text recognition, which takes longer.
• The panel does not open. Start a new chat and choose KeptPDF from the plugins list.
